Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA.) has been hit with a subpoena in a criminal case in her home state of California. Pelosi, who loves to issue subpoenas herself, must now face the consequences of one being issued against her. It turns out that the criminal case is linked to the horrific attack on Pelosi’s husband by an intruder last year. It’s about time that Pelosi is held accountable for the security lapses that allowed this attack to happen in the first place. It’s quite ironic that the woman who constantly criticizes others for their lack of security is now facing her own security failures.

News reports have revealed that despite knowing the potential threats against Pelosi, the Capitol Hill authorities failed to provide adequate security at her residence. They even had a previous arrangement with the San Francisco Police Department to have a police presence outside Pelosi’s home, but that arrangement was discontinued in 2021. It’s outrageous that this lapse in security was allowed to happen, especially given the prominent role Pelosi has played in politics. It’s clear that Pelosi’s safety was not a priority for the authorities until after the attack occurred. This negligence is simply unacceptable.
Pelosi’s subpoena is a long time coming. It’s time for her to answer for her own security failures and be held accountable. This serves as a reminder that no one is above the law, not even the former Speaker of the House. Perhaps this will finally teach Pelosi a lesson about the importance of proper security measures and the consequences that come with neglecting them.
