Psaki Spooks by Mike Johnson’s Faith: Why Fear a Christian?

Jen Psaki, the former White House press secretary, has made her debut as the host of her own show on MSNBC called “Inside with Jen Psaki.” However, many critics argue that a more fitting title for the show would have been “Circle Back with Psaki,” given her tendency to evade questions and provide non-substantive answers during her time as press secretary. Unsurprisingly, Psaki has used her new platform to attack politicians who do not align with progressive ideologies.

In a recent episode, Psaki wasted no time in criticizing the election of Republican Rep. Mike Johnson as the new speaker of the House. Rather than simply attacking Johnson’s political beliefs and voting record, Psaki took it a step further by attacking his Christian faith, calling him “scary” and “divisive.” This is a clear example of Psaki using her show as a platform to attack anyone she and her producers deem problematic to progressives.

Psaki’s attack on Johnson’s Christian beliefs stemmed from his statement that his worldview is guided by the Bible. Psaki seemed to belittle Johnson’s faith, implying that it was absurd for his worldview to come from the Bible. In doing so, Psaki revealed her own disdain for Christ and His followers, displaying the depth of her hatred and vitriol.

Psaki also took issue with Johnson’s statement that his election as speaker of the House was an act of God, citing a passage from the Bible about authority being derived and appointed by God. Psaki sarcastically referred to this as a “humblebrag,” further showcasing her contempt for Johnson’s faith and making light of his belief in divine guidance.

Additionally, Psaki used her show to peddle unfounded conspiracies about former President Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election. She mockingly questioned whether God had instructed Johnson to take part in this alleged plot. This type of baseless speculation is characteristic of Psaki’s partisan agenda and further undermines the credibility of her show.

Psaki also attacked Johnson’s past voting record, particularly his biblical stance on homosexuality. She dismissed Johnson’s belief that homosexuality is “unnatural” and “a dangerous lifestyle,” despite evidence of disproportionately higher rates of HIV infection, suicide, and domestic violence among the LGBTQ+ community. Psaki’s ignorance of the Bible was evident when she claimed that discrimination is not a key tenet of the Bible, failing to recognize the various instances of judgment and discernment found throughout its teachings.

Psaki’s attempts to discredit Johnson fell flat, as her criticisms only revealed her own biases and lack of understanding. From mocking Johnson’s faith to dismissing his biblical views, Psaki’s show has become a platform for attacking conservatives and promoting progressive ideologies. Her disregard for religious freedom and her condescension towards traditional values are reflective of her soulless and vapid approach to journalism.
