Radical Leftists Vandalize Portland State Library, Torch Police Cars

The recent events at Portland State University, where radical left activists took over the library, are truly disturbing. These individuals vandalized the library, leaving behind a mess of paint, graffiti, smashed glass cases, and even missing valuable book collections. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and goes against the principles of respect and responsibility.

It is alarming to see that these activists were not only allowed to run out of the library when the police arrived but also had the audacity to return the next day to cause more chaos. It is essential for law and order to be upheld to prevent such unruly behavior from continuing.

The arson of 17 Portland police cars at a training facility, carried out by a group calling itself “Rachel Corrie’s Ghost Brigade,” is deeply concerning. The timing of this attack, right before a police raid on the PSU campus activists, raises suspicions about premeditation and intention to incite violence.

The group’s admission that they orchestrated the arson to pre-empt a police response is a blatant disregard for the rule of law and a dangerous escalation of hostility towards law enforcement. Their inflammatory rhetoric, calling for violence and destruction, is reckless and irresponsible.

It is crucial for the authorities to thoroughly investigate this arson attack and hold those responsible accountable for their actions. Peaceful protests and activism have a place in society, but resorting to vandalism, arson, and incitement to violence is never justified. Such radical left extremism only fuels division and undermines the fabric of a civil society.
