When it comes to the freedom of speech, big tech has been making some very terrifying steps for years, such as deplatforming the leader of the free world because they didn't like what he had to say. This practise has been going on for quite some time. At this point, there are significant concerns raised in the legal community over the constitutionality of carrying out such an action.

After recent revelations that the Department of Homeland Security has been working tirelessly to suppress speech that it deems to be either 'dangerous' or 'disinformation,' Senator Rand Paul has promised to introduce legislation that would make it illegal for government agencies and large tech companies to secretly collaborate on such enterprises. This comes in response to the news that the Department of Homeland Security has been doing this.
Paul made these statements on the Democratic Party while he was a guest on Fox News. He stated, "You know, for all the talk of democracy, it seems to be that they're undermining the very basic principles of our constitutional republic."

The FBI issued the following statement in response to the incident that occurred in August: "routinely provides potential threat information to U.S. private sector entities, including social media providers, to enable them to better defend against threats."

This is a serious breach of our constitution, and the government ought not to be permitted to get away with breaking it without consequence. These large technology giants are stifling our ability to freely express ourselves, and something needs to be done to stop them. The conservative movement has been making efforts to combat this, but right now we require as much assistance as we can get. These large technology businesses have far too much power, and they are exploiting it in inappropriate ways. We can only hope that the legislation proposed by Rand Paul will be able to put an end to this.
