Former White House chief of staff Ron Klain, known for his moonlighting gig at Airbnb, has decided to hit the pause button on hosting strangers in his spare apartment and shift his focus back to good ol’ Joe Biden’s debate prep. Klain, who waved goodbye to Biden back in 2023 to play lawyer at Airbnb, has packed his bags for a “vacation” from room service duties to help good ol’ Joe gear up for a showdown with former President Donald Trump. Talk about a career detour!
Trump, always up for a verbal sparring match, wasted no time accepting Biden’s invite to throw down in debates this June and September. But just like a kid at a candy store, Trump wanted more debates and didn’t shy away from tossing shade at Biden, calling him the “WORST debater I have ever faced.” Ouch, that’s gotta sting more than a bee at a picnic!

With the stage set, Biden suggested CNN play host for the debate, and Trump gave the nod of approval. However, some folks are side-eyeing CNN for supposedly peddling hoaxes and watching their viewers slip away faster than ice cream on a hot day, according to the grapevine over at Breitbart News. Can CNN keep it real when the heat is on?
Klain, Biden’s trusty sidekick, had a sit-down chat with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, the White House press secretary turned talking head, and spilled the tea on what to expect in the debate ring. He made it clear that rules are the name of the game this time around. Klain ain’t about to let Trump run wild like a bull in a china shop, talking over everyone and turning the debate stage into a circus. It’s time to bring some order to the chaos!
To add a cherry on top, the Biden gang tossed a curveball by saying “no thanks” to having an audience at the proposed debates. It looks like they’re trying to keep distractions to a minimum and focus on Biden’s shining moments. Will silent debates be the next big thing?
