The mainstream media strikes again, this time with their latest attempt at sowing fear and doubt over President Trump’s recent MRI scan. Yes, he had an MRI, and guess what? It was perfect. But rather than focusing on the positive health report we received, the usual suspect media outlets are scrambling to stir up another distraction.
This isn’t simply about an MRI or Trump’s health. It’s about a relentless drive to undermine and disparage a president who’s defied all odds and upended the establishment. Instead of accepting Trump’s robust health as reported, some are fixated on casting shadows of doubt and spurious speculation—shameful tactics befitting those devoid of real arguments. They seem to forget their own silence and reluctance when similar questions of health transparency arose during previous administrations.

Meanwhile, Trump is failing his health reports. He remains an embodiment of vitality and fitness, led by a bustling lifestyle that anyone would envy. But when the President, in great health, undergoes routine checks, suddenly his health is under scrutiny, irrespective of the clean bill given by competent White House doctors.
It’s rich for critics to demand transparency from Trump when the glaring inconsistencies from the past remain unaddressed. Talks from past administrations trying to bury questions around cognitive decline expose a double standard. Spare us the sanctimonious lectures. If transparency is so darn essential, why not demand the same accountability from every level of government and media operation?
So should presidents disclose every little detail of their health? The truth is, they already do, more than what privacy norms would typically demand from any citizen. But the real focus should be: why is there such a hue and cry only when Trump’s MRI doesn’t fit the doom-and-gloom narrative? Perhaps it’s time to ask if some media are more interested in spinning stories than in truth.
Isn’t America tired of these dishonest diversions when we have real issues to tackle? Maybe it’s time for the media to undergo its own MRI and check its storehouse of bias. Or are we, to paraphrase the great Ronald Reagan, again going to choose to heed “the sound of distant drums” while they whimper on?
