In a shocking display of ignorance, Democratic Reps. Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib proved once again that they prioritize their radical agendas over the safety and security of the American people. These two members of the far-left “Squad” made headlines by voting against a bill that would ban Hamas terrorists involved in the October attack on Israel from ever entering the United States. It’s truly mind-boggling that they would take such a stance and put our country at risk.

The bill, aptly titled “The No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorists Act,” was introduced by Republican Rep. Tom McClintock, who clearly understands the importance of keeping our nation safe from known terrorists. The bill received overwhelming support, with a vote of 422-2, yet somehow Bush and Tlaib found themselves on the wrong side of history. Their actions are indicative of a larger problem within the Democratic Party – a refusal to prioritize national security and the safety of American citizens.
Tlaib attempted to defend her indefensible vote by characterizing the bill as “hateful anti-immigrant.” It’s truly laughable that she would try to frame this common-sense legislation as anything other than what it is – a necessary step to protect our country from those who seek to do us harm. By playing the race card, Tlaib is once again manipulating the narrative to fit her own radical agenda.
Bush, currently under investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for misusing taxpayer money on her own private security, has yet to release a statement on her vote. This silence speaks volumes and further reinforces the notion that she is not fit to serve in Congress. It’s alarming to think that someone who is under investigation for financial impropriety would have a say in matters of national security. This kind of hypocrisy is all too common on the left.
In the midst of growing tensions between Israel and Hamas, it’s disheartening to see members of Congress prioritizing the interests of terrorists over the safety of our allies. The fact that more than 100 Congressional staffers held a vigil demanding a ceasefire only underscores the misguided beliefs of the Democratic Party. It’s high time that we prioritize the safety and security of our own citizens and stand in solidarity with our allies in the face of terrorism.
In the end, the overwhelming majority of the House made the right decision by voting in favor of the bill. It’s a shame that Bush and Tlaib chose to align themselves with the far-left ideology that puts our nation at risk. This is yet another reminder of the importance of electing leaders who will prioritize the safety and security of the American people above all else.
