Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, is being accused of trying to “rewrite history” by denying that he ever forced anyone to get the COVID-19 vaccine, despite previously announcing mandatory vaccination for the federal workforce and federally regulated transportation sectors on the government website in October 2021. The imposition of vaccine mandates by the Trudeau administration had triggered a massive public response during the Freedom Convoy.

Trudeau’s recent remarks during a conversation with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the University of Ottawa have been criticized by those who remember the earlier vaccine mandates. Trudeau stated that he followed medical experts’ advice on the importance of vaccination but did not force anyone to get vaccinated. Instead, he chose to provide incentives and protections to encourage Canadians to get vaccinated.

Justin Trudeau is trying to gaslight the world. He is such a gaslighter it defies reality.

No, he just restricted their travel and freedoms and froze their bank accounts if they complained about it.

The only option that Trudeau gave Canadians was to get the vaccine, or not be able to participate in society.
Is that not considered force?

Bill Maher says Justin Trudeau sounds like Hitler and reads a direct quote of Trudeau asking if Canada should "tolerate" vaccine skeptics who he says are often "misogynistic and racist" and "take up space".

The current statement made by Justin Trudeau is contradictory to the Canadian government’s announcement in October 2021, where they stated their plans to mandate COVID-19 vaccination for federal public servants and those in federally regulated transportation sectors. The announcement included a requirement for federal public servants in the Core Public Administration, including members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, to disclose their vaccination status by October 29, 2021. Those who did not comply or were not fully vaccinated were to be placed on leave without pay, effective as early as November 15, 2021.
Employers in the federally regulated air, rail, and marine transportation sectors were given until October 30, 2021, by the government to establish vaccination policies ensuring their employees’ vaccination. Effective October 30, 2021, with very few exceptions, travellers departing from Canadian airports were required to be fully vaccinated. The government has collaborated with industry and other important partners to enforce strict vaccine requirements for cruise ships before the 2022 cruise season resumes.
In the past, Bill Maher had raised concerns about Justin Trudeau’s previous statements vilifying the unvaccinated, which likened him to Hitler. Despite Trudeau’s current claim of not enforcing COVID-19 vaccination, his previous mandates indicate that some individuals were required to receive the vaccine.
