Oh, man, people! Donald Trump is everyone's favourite former President, so get some popcorn and get ready for some juicy drama between him and Special Counsel Jack Smith. Even though it's only been a week since the third charge was made public, people are already getting angry.
Trump's Lawyers Make a Request on Protective Order https://t.co/FW1z0EOlNk

Last Friday, Trump yelled on TruthSocial, "IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I'M COMING AFTER YOU!" Let's just say that the lawyers weren't laughing. Those people came up with the idea of a security order to silence Trump and limit what he can say. How could that be? They want to make the lion wear a muzzle. Well, Trump's lawyers asked for more time to respond, but those annoying prosecutors said no and told them to react by Monday at 5 p.m. What a show of strength!

As discussed earlier, Trump's posting was a mistake and was made-to-order for Smith. https://t.co/leIknTcDr4 Now, Judge Chutkan has ordered Trump to respond on why she should not grant the protective order. This is the type of unforced error that Trump cannot afford in this case.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more interesting, NBC News comes in with a 29-page story about what Trump's lawyers want. They said the government's plan was "too broad" and asked the judge to only keep "truly sensitive materials" from being seen by the public. Way to go, lawyers! Someone needs to stand up against these moves to stop Trump from talking about politics.
In the filing, there are even ideas for changes that would narrow the limits the government wants. One big change would let Trump talk about recordings and written transcripts of witness statements that the prosecutors have. Can you picture how crazy that would be? People, buckle up, because this fight is about to get rough.
Now, let's not (no pun meant) forget about the elephant in the room. Concerns about the First Amendment have been going through the roof because of this case. It has really killed the buzz, and many people have been right to criticise how the indictment makes speech and political actions illegal. I mean, really, let the man say what he thinks!
Even Alan Dershowitz, a lawyer for the Democrats who voted against Trump (I know, shocker), has spoken out about these worries. He thinks that everyone should be able to know what proof they have against Trump. I couldn't agree with you more! We have a right to know what they are making when the doors are shut.
But that's not all! With Judge Tanya Chutkan in charge of the case, it will be hard for Trump to win. Our former president has not been treated well by this judge. When it came to executive privilege and those annoying January 6th documents, she has already decided against him. And let's not forget that she gave harsh sentences to January 6th suspects, even when the prosecutors didn't ask for jail time. People, it's a tough crowd out there.
Oh, and did I add that Chutkan has strong ties to Democratic politicians and even the Black Lives Matter movement? Yikes! Talk about a judge who isn't fair. Should she be the one to make these important choices? Some people want her to step down, and Trump didn't wait to call her out on TruthSocial. But his lawyer doesn't seem to agree with the idea. We'll have to wait and see what they decide, but one thing is for sure: this court fight is getting hotter than a bag of microwave popcorn!
On top of that, legal expert Jonathan Turley, who has been criticising this indictment against Trump, doesn't really think that Trump's angry TruthSocial post helped his case. Well, folks, we can't win them all. But trust me, there's going to be a lot more trouble. Don't mess with that knob!
