In a remarkable twist of events at the southern border, the United States is witnessing a significant transformation. Despite the media’s obsession with portraying chaos, recent efforts by Border Patrol agents, with steadfast support from the Trump administration, are yielding tangible results. One might even say they’re cleaning up an epic mess that was generously left behind by the previous administration. The media, of course, seems to ignore these achievements, but that doesn’t make them any less real.
In recent days, the dedicated agents of the U.S. Border Patrol have apprehended numerous illegal aliens, each with a rap sheet longer than a CVS receipt. The highlights reel includes a convicted killer, a ruthless member of a Mexican gang, and a Venezuelan hitman. It seems the border is now cleaner than ever, with zero releases reported. One would think that should make headlines, but surprisingly, it doesn’t get much play in the usual news outlets.
Mike Banks, the Chief of the Border Patrol, is over the moon with the recent progress. Although they are rightfully proud of the unprecedented lows in border crossings, they’re not resting on their laurels. He noted that the men and women in green are working tirelessly to maintain this newfound order. The operational control they’ve achieved is not just about catching those trying to sneak in but also about sending a powerful message across the border – one that’s finally being heard.
Part of this success can be credited to the resumption of border wall constructions that had been stalled under the previous administration. As it turns out, the border wall is useful, despite what cynics might say. So far, substantial sections have been completed, and the addition of high-tech gadgets like ground-based sensors and unmanned surveillance ensures that every inch of the border is under watch. They’re even going buoyant, literally, with a 900-mile border buoy barrier planned right at the center of the river. Now that’s what we call thinking outside the box.
And if all of this isn’t enough, the Border Patrol is seeing a trend that should be the envy of any country dealing with similar challenges: reverse migration. Yes, you read that right. People who previously set out for the U.S. are turning back, and some are self-deporting. Perhaps they’re finally realizing that today’s America isn’t the free-for-all it was painted to be. It seems that, with strong leadership, clear policies, and a firm enforcement strategy, the American dream won’t be just about arriving at the Promised Land—it’ll be about respecting its laws. Bravo to the Border Patrol and the Trump administration for doing what was once deemed impossible.
