In a shocking twist, it turns out that 47% of Republican voters are inexplicably hesitant and doubt the ability of the former president to continue steering the ship if any of the countless charges against him stick. But hey, who needs a flawless track record anyway, am I right?
And hold onto your hats, because the Iowa caucuses showed an even more overwhelming wave of support for Trump, with a staggering 64% of Republican voters standing firmly by their man, insisting that a guilty verdict wouldn’t even put a dent in his presidential prowess. Meanwhile, a mere 31% dared to think otherwise. The nerve!
And here’s the kicker – a follow-up survey from CBS revealed that a colossal 86% of Trump voters are unwavering in their support for the former president, no matter the legal outcome. They’re in it for the long haul, come rain or shine. Now that’s loyalty you just can’t buy!
Now, let’s not forget about former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. It seems that a whopping 85% of the proud Republicans who voted for her in New Hampshire are not convinced that Trump should continue to lead if he’s found guilty, while a meager 12% have surprisingly different opinions. Talk about a divide in the ranks!
But wait, there’s more! The New Hampshire Republican primary has become a head-to-head showdown between Trump and Haley as all other GOP candidates waved the white flag and dropped out of the race. Even Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who trailed behind Trump by nearly 30 points in the Iowa caucuses, jumped ship and threw his endorsement behind the former president.
DeSantis, while acknowledging his minor squabbles with Trump on issues like the pandemic, wasted no time in throwing shade at Haley, labeling her as a relic of the uninspiring old guard of the Republican Party. Ouch! The claws are definitely out in this fierce political battle.
To top it all off, DeSantis joined forces with fellow GOP dropouts entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott in rallying behind the unstoppable force that is Donald J. Trump. It looks like the Trump train is picking up quite the entourage as it barrels down the tracks, leaving naysayers and doubters in the dust! Can anyone stop this political juggernaut?
