According to Johnson, the American people understand that the border crisis escalated dramatically when Biden took office, and his approval ratings reflect their dissatisfaction with his handling of the issue.
Johnson also pointed out that Biden has the executive authority to address the border crisis, but he refuses to take action. Johnson emphasized that Biden and his administration intentionally undermined border security from day one, opening up the border and encouraging illegal immigration. Johnson believes that the 2024 presidential election will be a referendum on border security and overall national security. He stated that Biden’s weak approach to international relations is projecting weakness on the world stage and endangering American security. Johnson emphasized the need to project strength and get back to the Reagan doctrine of peace through strength.
As for holding the Biden administration accountable, Johnson mentioned the failed impeachment vote of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas but promised to try again next week. Johnson believes that Mayorkas is the worst cabinet secretary in American history and must be impeached for the damage he has caused.
