Last August, Democratic Senator Joe Manchin made a huge mistake when he sided with Joe Biden’s “Inflation Reduction Act”. His support of the bill only caused inflation to soar and it was the biggest anti-fossil fuel, Green New Deal giveaway ever passed. This caused his constituents in West Virginia to turn on him and his poll numbers to drop dramatically.

Forbes reported that the IRA was the most significant climate legislation in the history of the United States. However, it is important to note that Energy Innovation Policy and Technology LLC’s modeling found that the IRA’s $370 billion in climate and clean energy investments could cut U.S. greenhouse gas- GHG emissions up to 43% below 2005 levels by 2030. This is a drastic measure that could have dire consequences for our country’s economy and energy sector.
Gov. Jim Justice (R-WV) says he is "very seriously considering" running for the Senate seat held by Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) in 2024.

Justice: "I know I'd win. That's all there is to it."

Now, West Virginia’s Republican Governor, Jim Justice, is considering running against Manchin. During a recent interview on Fox and Friends, he said he knows he can win. It is reassuring to see leadership that is willing to stand up for conservative values and not cave to the radical left’s unrealistic policies.
On the other side of the aisle, it seems that Manchin is also considering a presidential run even though a majority of Democrats do not want Joe Biden to run in 2024. It is clear that Manchin is out of touch with his party, and if he continues down this path, he will only further alienate himself from his constituents.
At the end of the day, we need leaders who are willing to support policies that promote economic growth and preserve our energy independence. It’s time for Manchin to listen to his constituents and reject these radical measures pushed by the left. We need leaders who will prioritize the values of hard-working Americans, not their own political ambitions.
