American Jobs Slip Away as Foreign Workers Reap Benefits Under Biden-Harris Administration

Under the watchful eye of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the American job market has taken on a peculiar new trend that seems to leave native-born workers scratching their heads in confusion, if not outright anger. According to a fresh report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, while American workers have been dropping like flies, foreign-born individuals appear to be having a field day, scooping up jobs left and right. It seems that in this economy, they are the guests of honor at a party where no one told Americans they were invited.

The labor statistics from July paint a rather grim picture: a staggering 1.2 million fewer Americans are employed compared to the previous year. In stark contrast, the number of foreign-born workers enjoying gainful employment has skyrocketed by 1.3 million. If this isn’t a classic case of taking care of foreign interests over homegrown talent, then it’s hard to say what is. While the Americans sit on the sidelines, scratching their heads, the job growth under this administration appears to be showering newcomers, many of whom arrived just yesterday, with a warm welcome.

Economists are sounding the alarm bells over the state of the native workforce. A Heritage Foundation economist pointed out that, disturbingly, the number of native-born Americans in the workforce is not just down; it is significantly below where it was five years ago, prior to the pandemic. Meanwhile, foreign-born employment has climbed by a whopping 3.9 million over the last five years. This begs the question: When did America’s job market become a cutthroat competition favoring freshly arrived migrants who have barely settled in?

Supporters of the Biden-Harris administration may argue that this influx of foreign workers is harmless or even beneficial. However, the undeniable truth emerging from the statistics suggests otherwise. A noteworthy analysis revealed that an alarming 75 percent of all job growth in the United States since 2019 seemingly found its way into the hands of foreign-born individuals. For working-class American men, this trend translates to a disheartening decline in labor participation. It truly appears that the slogan should now be “America last” instead of “America first” when it comes to job opportunities.

The scale of the issue is staggering. Over a million legal immigrants are granted green cards each year, with the majority coming merely on the basis of having family ties already anchored in the land of opportunity. This is on top of another million arriving on temporary work visas, not to mention the countless others who have made their way across the southern border since Biden stepped into the Oval Office.

Collectively, these elements lead to a disconcerting conclusion that the Biden-Harris administration has transformed the American labor market into what some have dubbed a “temp agency for foreigners.” If the administration is intent on putting Americans second, it’s no wonder that the narrative around job growth has taken such a bizarre turn. The implications for American workers are severe, and it’s a trend that raises serious questions about the priorities of those currently in charge.
