AOC Plays Madden With Gov Walz Then Slams Trump Rally as Hate Event

Over the weekend, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attempted to sway young male voters by hopping onto Twitch to play Madden with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Whether this was a bold strategy or a way to avoid facing any real political opponents is debatable, but Walz suggested that she should aim for a more prominent role in the House of Representatives if the Democrats snag control back. The world holds its breath, wondering which committee Walz had in mind because who wouldn’t want to see AOC running the Committee on Slightly Less Socialism?

After the riveting conclusion of their virtual matchup, which ended in an effortless 0-0 tie, Ocasio-Cortez sprang into action—by bouncing over to MSNBC to share her thoughts on a recent rally held by former President Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden. Predictably, Ocasio-Cortez deemed it a “hate rally,” claiming it was not merely a campaign event but more akin to a mini version of the January 6 protests. This coming from the self-proclaimed princess of hyperbole speaks volumes, considering the far more favorable comments she has made about the protests that erupted across the country just over the past year.

It’s interesting to note how outraged AOC managed to get herself over politically incorrect jokes uttered by an insult comic at the rally. The Democrats seem to have found a new target to clutch their pearls over, which is rich coming from a party that has had no reservations about labeling half the country as Nazis at the drop of a hat. While the comic’s set was undoubtedly a poor choice for a rally, one can’t help but roll their eyes at the duplicity of the Democrats going on about hate speech when they’ve been the ones throwing around exaggerated terms like “fascist” to describe anyone who disagrees with them.

The narrative surrounding the Trump rally seems to have hit a fever pitch, with various Democrats and their media allies launching a full-scale smear campaign. The same Tim Walz who played video games with AOC shamelessly drew parallels between the rally attendees and Nazis from the 1930s, a move that’s not only reckless but downright irresponsible. It seems to matter little to them that the audience at these events is comprised of diverse Americans waving Israeli flags and openly sharing their Jewish identities.

As the mainstream media continues to light its torches, they’ve created an environment where sensationalist diatribes drown out sober analysis. It’s as if they’ve collectively ignored the facts in favor of a hysteria-driven narrative framed around fear-mongering and outrage. A picture of a Holocaust survivor attending the rally with supporters is lost on these commentators, who would rather keep pushing their ridiculous claims than face the reality of who their opponents are.

One might think that there’s a time for comedy and a time for serious political discourse, yet this is not the case for those on the left, who keep dragging the bar ever lower. AOC and her cohorts have set a new standard: if political debate fails, resort to name-calling and exaggerated claims. All the while, as those on the right continue to make points founded on fact, humor, and clarity, the left will remain stuck in their self-imposed echo chamber, still amazed that those they so vehemently vilify show up to the rally—and not at all as the monsters they’ve been painted to be.
