According to Austin, the inclusion of transgender competitors caused a massive loss of support for the event, leading to its ultimate downfall. And she couldn’t be more right!
Austin, speaking on Fox News’ “Varney & Co.,” boldly stated, “The outrage about a trans woman coming to Miss Universe and preaching, ‘Bring the power back to women,’ couldn’t be more of an oxymoron.” And she’s absolutely spot on! It’s high time we put an end to this absurdity and protect the integrity of female beauty pageants.
Last year, Townhall broke the news that a Thai business tycoon named Chakrapong “Anne” Chakrajutathib, who is biologically male but identifies as a transgender woman, purchased the Miss Universe pageant organization for a staggering $20 million. This move was celebrated by some as a victory for inclusivity, but the consequences have come back to haunt them.
Austin made sure to mention the financial troubles faced by Chakrajutathib’s company in Thailand, stating, “Her company in Thailand has its own financial issues, but socially and morally, it’s just wrong. And people are starting to catch on to that.” Finally! Common sense is prevailing, and we can only hope that others will follow suit.
Despite the bankruptcy, the 2023 Miss Universe competition will go ahead as planned in El Salvador. However, much to the dismay of traditionalists, it will still include two biological males who identify as “trans women.” Miss Portugal, Marina Machete, and Miss Netherlands, Rikki Valerie Kolle, will be competing in the contest, representing the epitome of the controversial “woke” policies that have engulfed the pageant world.
These individuals have every right to pursue their dreams, but let’s call a spade a spade. This is not about empowering women; it is about diluting the essence of femininity and discrediting the achievements of actual female contestants.
