President Joe Biden celebrated the news of a slight decrease in inflation, touting it as a win for his economic policies. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that inflation had dropped to 3.1% for the year ending in November, giving the President an opportunity to pat himself on the back. In a typical display of self-congratulation, Biden proclaimed, “Today’s report demonstrates continued progress bringing inflation down and lowering costs for American families.” Apparently, the President failed to notice the skyrocketing prices during his tenure.

The President shamelessly boasted about the decrease, citing it as evidence that his administration was making significant strides in addressing the economic concerns of the American people. He even had the audacity to suggest that some products were now cheaper than they were last year, including cars, gas, TVs, toys, eggs, and milk. Leave it to Biden to put a positive spin on rising costs for everyday Americans.
Biden couldn’t resist taking a jab at Republicans, accusing them of not having a plan to lower costs for families and siding with special interests. It’s no surprise that he attempted to shift the blame onto his political opponents instead of taking responsibility for the economic turmoil that has plagued the country. The President’s remarkable ability to deflect criticism knows no bounds.
The Republican National Committee fired back, placing the blame for the persistent inflation squarely on Biden’s shoulders. RNC spokesman Jake Schneider pointed out that under Biden, inflation has averaged 5.8%, more than double the level of inflation under any of the last four presidents. The GOP also highlighted the significant price increases across essential goods, such as food, rent, and electricity, painting a stark picture of the economic hardships faced by American families.
In typical fashion, Biden managed to turn a report about rising prices into an opportunity to pat himself on the back and blame Republicans. It’s clear that the President is living in a fantasy world, where inflation somehow equates to lowered costs for American families. One can only hope that Bidenomics doesn’t continue to wreak havoc on the American economy for much longer. After all, how much longer can the American people endure Biden’s economic mismanagement?
