In a recent CNN poll, President Joe Biden’s approval rating hit its lowest point since he took office in 2021. The poll, conducted in November, revealed that Biden’s approval rating dropped to 37 percent. This is a decrease of two points from the previous month and highlights the concerns of Democrats who are worried about his electability in the upcoming 2024 election.
One of the main factors contributing to Biden’s declining approval rating is his struggling economy, which is a major concern for voters. In November, his approval rating on the economy was only 33 percent, the second-lowest of his presidency. These numbers indicate that many Americans are unhappy with the state of the economy under Biden’s leadership.

Despite these low approval ratings, Biden has expressed his intention to run for reelection, citing the possible candidacy of former President Donald Trump as his motivation. However, many Democrats are skeptical about Biden’s ability to effectively challenge Trump, pointing to his age and the poor polling numbers as major hurdles.
Various other polls have also shown unfavorable numbers for Biden. NBC News reported that Biden’s approval rating had reached its lowest point since he took office, while Quinnipiac University found that a majority of voters disapprove of his handling of the economy. Additionally, Bloomberg News/Morning Consult revealed that Trump is leading Biden in six out of seven crucial swing states.
Overall, the plummeting approval ratings for Biden should be a cause for concern among Democrats. It is clear that his presidency is facing significant challenges, particularly in regard to the economy, and it remains to be seen if he can regain the support of the American people leading up to the 2024 election.
