Breaking News: Biden’s Border Crisis Continues to Soar Despite Empty Promises
In a surprising turn of events, the number of illegal border crossings has skyrocketed in July, leaving the Biden Administration scrambling to explain the overwhelming surge. Despite their weeks-long assurance that the border is under control, the truth is far from it.
According to the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, a staggering 136,652 migrants were apprehended in July. That’s a whopping 33 percent jump from June, showing that the situation is spiraling out of control. Even the pathetic attempt to emphasize a momentary drop in June, below 100,000 apprehensions for the first time since Biden took office, fails to conceal the blatant failure of his administration.
What’s even more troubling is the increase in apprehensions of single adults. Out of the 132,652 migrants caught in July, a shocking 60,161 were adults, which marks a more than 40 percent surge compared to the previous year. On top of that, 10,000 unaccompanied minors were also apprehended at the southern border. This crisis is not only unsustainable but also puts vulnerable children at risk.
Analyzing the nationalities of those crossing the border, it’s evident that Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala are the primary sources. More than 36,000 migrants hailed from Mexico alone, with Honduras and Guatemala not far behind. However, the most concerning trend is the rise in migrants from outside Mexico and Central America, accounting for roughly 49,000 apprehensions. This suggests that our border crisis has far-reaching implications, posing a significant threat to national security.
Despite scorching temperatures, the flood of illegal crossings shows no signs of slowing down in August. In just the first 15 days of the month, Border Patrol agents have already apprehended over 83,000 migrants, according to unofficial reports. The situation is dire and demands immediate action.
It’s worth noting that a significant number of apprehensions occurred in the El Paso sector, further highlighting the urgency of the situation. This is not a problem confined to one region; it’s a full-blown crisis that requires a comprehensive strategy.
The Biden Administration’s attempt to downplay this crisis is not only misleading but also dangerous. With the expiration of Title 42, a policy implemented by the Trump administration to protect American citizens from the spread of infectious diseases, the floodgates were opened. President Biden and Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’s repeated claims of success are nothing more than empty rhetoric.
It’s time for the Biden administration to stop ignoring the reality and address this crisis head-on. They must prioritize the safety and security of American citizens, rather than appeasing their radical base. The time for action is now.
