The border crisis under President Joe Biden isn’t just a mess, it’s a downright disaster, setting records left and right for the number of law-breaking folks coming in from Mexico. It’s like a never-ending game of hide and seek, but with serious consequences for Americans.
The number of known gotaways, those sneaky individuals who manage to escape capture and vanish into the United States, is sky-high. In fact, last week alone, there was an average of 761 known gotaways each day along the U.S.-Mexico border. And to top it off, on March 31, a whopping 919 of these sneaky “gotaways” were detected slipping into the United States. They’re like ninja turtles, but instead of eating pizza, they’re bringing uncertainty and potential danger to our country.
NEW: 919 known gotaways recorded at the border yesterday, per CBP source.
7 day average of known gotaways: 761 per day.
Reminder: Gotaways are not recorded in the official public border numbers reported each month. CBP tracks internally after seeing/detecting them.

Now, it’s bad enough that the ones who do get caught are being released into the U.S. by the Biden administration like it’s a grand opening sale at a department store. But what’s even scarier is the ones we don’t catch. Who are they? Where do they come from? What do they want? It’s like a real-life game of Clue, but instead of trying to solve a murder, we’re trying to prevent more potential threats to our national security.
And get this – even the ones who do turn themselves in are released with just a slap on the wrist and a notice to appear in court… maybe six whole years later. It’s like the government is saying, “Sure, you broke the law, but no biggie, just come back in a couple of presidential terms, and we’ll talk about it.” It’s no wonder people are trying to evade getting caught. Why bother going through the process if there are barely any consequences?
But it’s not just harmless folks looking for a better life. Oh no, we’re talking about drug cartels, human traffickers, criminals from other countries, and potentially even terrorists trying to slip through the cracks. It’s like a real-life action movie, except instead of a hero coming to save the day, we’re stuck with an administration that’s more interested in playing the blame game than actually securing our borders.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul is sounding the alarm, and for good reason. He’s warning that every day Biden drags his feet on this issue, more threats are sneaking into our country. And let’s not forget about the ones we don’t even detect. Who knows how many of them are slipping past our borders like it’s a game of Red Rover?
So, while the Biden administration may try to downplay the severity of this crisis, it’s clear as day that we’ve got a real problem on our hands. It’s time to stop playing politics and start taking real action to secure our borders and protect the American people. Because when it comes to national security, there’s no room for playing “gotaway.”
