President Biden’s Latest Plan to Fight the Fentanyl Crisis Misses the Mark
President Biden, in another attempt to pass the buck, called for a ban on fentanyl during a recent White House meeting. However, don’t break out the champagne just yet, folks, because guess what? Turns out, Biden didn’t actually mean all fentanyl. He just wants to ban some fentanyl-related compounds. Big whoop!

This should come as no surprise from a president who seems to always be struggling with the facts. Whether he’s mangling statistics or fumbling his words, it’s getting harder and harder to take him seriously on any issue, let alone the fentanyl crisis. And don’t even get us started on the administration’s hasty backpedaling, insisting that Biden wasn’t misspeaking when he called for the ban.
But let’s get down to the nitty-gritty here. Fentanyl, a substance responsible for the deaths of 200,000 Americans during Biden’s term, has been wreaking havoc as it’s shipped into the country from China. And while Biden’s big talk about cracking down on exports with Chinese President Xi Jinping might sound like progress, let’s not forget that previous promises from Xi led to absolutely nothing. Can we really trust him to follow through this time?
As if this whole fiasco couldn’t get any worse, the administration is also seeking a whopping $1.2 billion for fentanyl-screening equipment. Sure, let’s throw even more money at a problem that the president doesn’t even seem to understand fully.
To top it all off, Biden is also trying to sneak in a request for $14.3 billion to finance Israel’s war with Hamas and a whopping $61.4 billion to back Ukraine in its war with Russia. Talk about a classic bait-and-switch move! Why not focus on solving America’s problems first, Mr. President?
The bottom line is that America needs real solutions, not just empty promises and wishy-washy policies. Let’s hope that someone in the Biden administration can get their act together and come up with a plan that actually makes a difference.
