Biden’s Holiday Delusion: Costs Down? Think Again!

On Tuesday afternoon, the White House X account, which we all know is just a fancy way of saying the Biden-Harris Administration, posted a claim that is supposed to make us feel all warm and fuzzy just in time for Thanksgiving. They boldly stated that “costs are down for everything from airline tickets and car rentals to toys and TVs.” Well, isn’t that just peachy?

But let’s take a moment to step out of their fantasy land and into the real world, shall we? The American people aren’t exactly feeling this so-called “breathing room” that the Biden-Harris Administration is supposedly creating. In fact, prices are higher now than they were under former and potentially future President Donald Trump. Talk about a Thanksgiving buzzkill!

And it’s not just a few disgruntled Americans here and there. Oh no, there have been over 6,000 replies to that tweet, and let’s just say people are not holding back. Many of them are pointing out the obvious – that prices have skyrocketed since Biden took office. It’s not rocket science, folks. Bidenomics is hitting hard, and it’s hitting where it hurts – in our wallets.

To drive the point home, Americans for Prosperity shared their own graphic showing just how expensive this Thanksgiving is going to be. It’s like they’re saying, “Hey Biden, thanks for making our holiday season a financial nightmare!” But I guess that’s what we get when we buy into the promises of a president who thinks he can just spend our way to prosperity.

And if the replies and graphics weren’t enough, let’s talk about the polls. According to RealClearPolitics, Biden currently has a 40.8 percent overall approval rating. Ouch. But it gets worse when you look at his approval rating on inflation – a measly 33.6 percent. Looks like the American people aren’t buying what he’s selling. Can you blame them? I mean, who wants to celebrate the holidays while watching the prices go through the roof?

But wait, there’s more! The White House also had the audacity to brag about gas prices being down. Woohoo, right? Wrong. While they may be down from their peak, they are still higher than when Biden first took office. So forgive me if I’m not jumping for joy over a few cents off the gas pump. It’s nothing but a cheap attempt to distract us from the real issues at hand.

And let’s not forget about last week when White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried to spin the narrative during a briefing. She went on and on about how we should be thankful for the small things like lower gas prices and cheaper groceries. But here’s the reality check, Karine – we can’t eat gas prices. We need real solutions to the problems facing hardworking families, not empty promises and spin.

So while the White House X account may be trying to paint a rosy picture, the American people aren’t buying it. We see through the smoke and mirrors, and we’re not fooled by their attempts to distract us from the real issues. This Thanksgiving, let’s focus on what truly matters – family, freedom, and fighting for a better future where we don’t have to worry about the cost of our holiday celebrations.
