In a blatant display of what can only be described as political grandstanding at its finest, President Joe Biden has decided to make a pitiful “visit” to the southern border, presumably in an attempt to save face after months of denying the severity of the crisis unfolding there. It’s like showing up to a party late and pretending you were invited all along – classic Biden move.
While Biden heads to Brownsville, Texas, to have what will likely be a staged meeting with border patrol agents and local leaders, former President Donald Trump is over in Eagle Pass, Texas, calling out Biden’s ineffective open border policies. It’s like a superhero showdown, except one is actually trying to protect the country while the other is just trying to protect his own reputation.

Trump is in Eagle Pass, a hotspot for illegal immigrant activity, while Biden is in Brownsville, a town that has seen relatively low apprehensions thanks to the tough stance taken by Governor Greg Abbott. It’s like comparing a lion to a kitten – one is fierce and gets the job done, while the other just meows and begs for attention.
Let’s not forget the history of these so-called border visits by the Biden administration. Vice President Kamala Harris’s disaster of a trip to El Paso, Biden’s sanitized visit to El Paso the following year, and now this rushed trip to Brownsville all reek of desperation and incompetence. It’s like trying to fix a leaky pipe with duct tape – it might hold for a little while, but eventually, it’s going to burst.
So, as Biden continues his charade at the border, let’s not be fooled by the smoke and mirrors. These visits are nothing more than political theater, designed to distract from the real issues at hand. But the American people are not easily fooled, and we see through the facade. It’s time for real solutions, not photo ops. Let’s hope Biden gets the memo before it’s too late.
