The drive behind Trump’s impeachment was none other than Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman, who had reportedly colluded with the whistleblower who divulged information about the call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump had requested more information about Joe Biden’s threats against Ukrainian prosecutors investigating Burisma, a company that had hired Hunter Biden despite a lack of necessary experience. Trump had called the call “perfect”, and he had justified asking Zelensky for verifiable evidence of corruption within the Biden family to protect national security.

However, the mainstream media had supported the partisan narrative that Trump was seeking dirt on the Biden family for purely political reasons, and they had championed Vindman as a war hero and patriot for revealing classified information. This was ironic given that Vindman coordinated with anti-Trump forces in a political operation that sought to sabotage the Trump Administration.

And yet, the U.S. media had not criticized Vindman, even when he was referred to Trump as a “moron”, while they had arrested 21-year-old airman Jack Teixeira for allegedly leaking classified intelligence documents. The FBI had accused Teixeria of being a potential traitor to the country, risking national security. Meanwhile, the media had painted Vindman as a patriot for undermining the democratically elected president of the United States.
As if this could not get any worse, it had recently emerged that Joe Biden and his son Hunter were involved in a kickback scheme regarding Hunter’s business dealings in Ukraine while he was vice-president. Stenographer Mike McCormick had even claimed that the FBI was ignoring his willingness to testify under oath about this scheme, which he believed Biden and his daughter were involved in, and that the mainstream media would not cover.
Former Obama staffer Seymour Hersh had also recently reported corruption in Ukraine, including an alleged embezzlement scheme involving Ukrainian officials, such as Zelensky himself. Hersh’s report claimed that Zelensky was skimming away American dollars earmarked as diesel fuel payments and that much of this money was being funneled to the Russian government. While much of Hersh’s story was uncorroborated, Zelensky’s presidency had undertaken measures to counter corruption since January.
The United States was in danger of becoming a nation where patriotism was determined by loyalty to the state’s narrative rather than the U.S. Constitution. Vindman and the mainstream media had undermined the will of the American people and had created a future determined solely by their unquestioning loyalty to the state’s narrative.
