Conservative firebrand and political commentator, Candace Owens, appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show to discuss her ongoing feud with Ben Shapiro and the Daily Wire, as well as Nikki Haley’s comments on internet anonymity and the upcoming 2024 election. Owens finds herself at odds with her employers at the Daily Wire due to her critical views on the conflict in the Gaza Strip, calling out the Israeli government’s conduct and denouncing any form of genocide. As expected, this bold stance has ruffled some feathers within her own conservative circles.

Ben Shapiro, in response to Owens’ statements, suggested that she should quit if she doesn’t align with the views of the Daily Wire. Owens, however, remained unfazed by Shapiro’s remarks, stating that she won’t stoop to personal attacks and believes the video speaks more to Shapiro’s character than hers. After all, she and Shapiro have disagreed on numerous issues in the past, so this ongoing tiff is nothing new or noteworthy.
During the interview, Owens was also asked about the Republican primary race for the upcoming 2024 election. She confidently predicted that former President Donald Trump would once again secure victory, as polling averages remain in his favor. Owens dismissed the never-Trump movement as irrelevant, asserting that they would either support pro-DeSantis candidates or even end up voting for Joe Biden instead. According to Owens, their opinions hold little influence in the grand scheme of things.
Owens’ appearance on Carlson’s show showcased her unwavering determination to speak her mind, even if it means clashing with fellow conservatives. Her criticism of the Israeli government’s actions in the Gaza Strip may have sparked controversy, but her refusal to back down demonstrates her belief in the importance of standing up for what she believes in, irrespective of popular opinion within her own party.
Whether you agree with Owens or not, there’s no denying her fierce independence and willingness to challenge the status quo. Love her or hate her, it’s refreshing to see a conservative commentator who isn’t afraid to stir the pot and shake things up within her own ranks.
