Third-party presidential candidates always mess things up for the big names, don’t they? Well, according to the brilliant minds over at Breitbart, President Biden is in for a rude awakening if Green Party candidate Cornel West decides to join the party. In a hypothetical rematch of the 2020 election, Biden and former President Trump are neck and neck in Michigan. But with West thrown into the mix, Trump snatches the win right out from under Biden’s nose.
Now, you might be thinking, why does this matter? Well, let me break it down for you. Biden’s campaign is already struggling with the Democratic base, and they seem to be ignoring everyday problems like grocery and gas bills. It’s like they’re living on a different planet, folks. Politico reports that Biden World is feverishly working to stave off third-party challengers including Cornell West, RFK Jr., and No Labels. On demand, The Daily Beast published a hit piece on West alleging he has $500k in unpaid taxes.

Now, why does this matter? Well, in an election where every last vote counts, a 4% drop for Biden is like a meteor crashing down on his hopes for 2024. I mean, it’s like when you drop your ice cream cone on a hot summer day, except a hundred times worse. No one wants to be left empty-handed, folks. And it seems like even Democrats are getting worried about West’s White House ambitions. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the queen of radical ideas, is concerned about risking a Republican presidency by splitting the votes. Even Rep. Jim McGovern from Massachusetts thinks everyone needs to band together to defeat Trump and support good ol’ Joe.
But here’s the kicker, folks. Even if Trump ends up losing to someone else from his own party, West’s inclusion in the race could still have the same effect on Democratic voters.
