In a stunning and unexpected move, the Democrats have once again shown their true colors and revealed their plans to undermine American democracy. According to sources, the DNC has put forth a plan to abolish the Electoral College – a cornerstone of our democratic system for over two centuries.
This is just the latest example of the Democrats’ blatant disregard for the will of the American people. They lost the 2016 presidential election fair and square, yet they continue to push for policies that would upend our entire system just to get their way.
For those who may not be familiar with the Electoral College, it is a system in which each state is given a certain number of electors based on its population, and the candidate who wins the majority of those electors becomes the president. This ensures that every state has a say in the election, and that candidates must appeal to a broad base of voters instead of just focusing on a few densely populated areas.
Yet, the Democrats want to replace this proven system with a simple popular vote. This may sound good in theory, but it would mean that candidates would only have to campaign in a few major cities and ignore the smaller, more rural areas that make up much of our country.
The Electoral College is a vital safeguard against this kind of tyranny of the majority, and getting rid of it would be a disastrous mistake. We need to stand up and fight back against the DNC’s radical agenda, or risk losing everything we hold dear as Americans.
