Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is proving once again why he’s the conservative candidate to watch in the 2024 GOP nomination race. In an interview on Fox News, Governor DeSantis boldly declared his intention to eradicate four federal agencies if elected president. And let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to see the Departments of Education, Commerce, Energy, and the Internal Revenue Service go down in flames?

First off, let’s talk about the Department of Commerce. This bureaucratic mess has done nothing but duplicate the work of other agencies. It’s a classic case of government inefficiency at its finest. And don’t even get me started on the Department of Education. They’ve turned our once-great public schools into Marxist breeding grounds. It’s time to take back our education system from the clutches of radical leftists.

But the Department of Energy may just take the cake. This useless agency seems more interested in blocking domestic energy production than actually doing anything productive. And let’s not forget that they only took on the role of overseeing our nuclear arsenal in 1975. We managed just fine without them before that, so why do we even need them now?
And finally, we come to the most dreaded agency of them all – the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS has become nothing more than a tool for the government to squeeze every last penny out of hardworking Americans. With their recent purchase of 5 million rounds of pistol ammunition, it’s clear they’re more focused on collecting money from billionaires than actually serving the American people. We need to dismantle this agency and replace it with a simple and fair tax system.
Now, I know what you might be thinking. Taking down four federal agencies is no easy task. But let’s not forget that President Trump himself pledged to eliminate 19 federal commissions, and yet they still exist. We need a candidate like Governor DeSantis who isn’t afraid to take on the establishment and make bold decisions.
Yes, it will be an uphill battle. These agencies have powerful allies in Congress and the business community who benefit from their oppressive regulations. But that shouldn’t stop us from trying. As Ronald Reagan famously said, we need to march under “a banner of bold, unmistakable colors with no pale pastels.” Governor DeSantis is proving himself to be that bold leader we need.
So let’s rally behind Governor Ron DeSantis and support his mission to eradicate these unnecessary and burdensome federal agencies. It’s time to free ourselves from their grasp and restore power to the people. Together, we can make America great again – one abolished agency at a time.
