The so-called “classified document investigation” into former President Donald Trump has finally been unsealed, and it appears to be yet another desperate attempt by the Democrats to attack and smear Trump. Despite all the hype and hysteria from the media, the 49-page document rehashes old allegations that have already been debunked or dismissed. It’s no surprise that the media’s spoiler alerts were a complete waste of time.

The charges against Trump are nothing more than a weak attempt to criminalize routine administrative tasks and procedures that every president and their staff perform daily. The charges include willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice, withholding and corruptly concealing records, concealing documents in a federal investigation, scheming to conceal, false statements and representations. This is nothing more than a witch hunt led by partisan hacks who are trying to criminalize political activities and the lawful actions of a sitting president.

The indictment also names Trump’s valet, Walt Nauta, as a co-conspirator. This is nothing but a shameful attempt to intimidate and harass Trump’s loyal assistants and staff. Nauta’s only job was to move and carry boxes of mementos and papers; he has been nothing but a dedicated public servant to the former president. The fact that he has been dragged into this witch hunt shows the Democrats’ reckless disregard for innocent people’s lives.
In typical Democratic fashion, the federal authorities have gone to great lengths to intimidate and pressure Trump’s former staff. Still, they have uncovered nothing incriminating despite questioning them multiple times. Trump has always maintained his innocence, and the Democrats’ attempts to criminalize politics will not succeed. While Trump remains focused on his legal defense, Democrats will continue their shameful attempts at political persecution, but they will always come up empty-handed. The former president is due in court next Tuesday in South Florida, and he will show the partisan hacks that their witch hunt won’t succeed.
