The Secret Service is investigating actor John Schneider, known for his role in the TV show “Dukes of Hazzard,” after he made controversial statements online about President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. In a since-deleted post, Schneider called for the public execution of Biden and said he should be “publicly hung” for treason. He also called for Hunter Biden to be executed.
It is no surprise that the Secret Service is looking into this matter. After all, the agency’s role is to protect the president and his family, as well as other high-level government officials. Schneider’s remarks are not only extremely disrespectful, but they also cross the line into advocating violence against the president.

What is truly shocking, however, is the lack of outrage from the left. For years, we have heard left-wingers calling for violence and even the assassination of then-President Donald Trump. Yet, when a conservative actor expresses his opinion, suddenly there is an investigation and condemnation from the media.
Let’s not forget that freedom of speech is a fundamental right in our country. While we may not agree with what Schneider said, he has every right to express his opinion. It is up to law enforcement to determine if his remarks constitute a credible threat. If they do, then appropriate action should be taken.
It is clear that there is a double standard when it comes to conservative voices. The left is quick to cancel and condemn anyone who disagrees with their ideology. This is not the way a free and open society should operate. We must defend the right to free speech, even if we don’t agree with the content of that speech.
In conclusion, the Secret Service investigation into John Schneider’s comments is a clear example of the bias and hypocrisy that exists in our society. While we should always strive for respectful and civil discourse, we must also protect the right to express dissenting opinions. It is time for the left to stop their selective outrage and start embracing true tolerance and diversity of thought.
