Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) is once again taking the lead in calling for a formal investigation into the sketchy January 6 congressional committee. It has recently come to light that committee members deleted over 100 encrypted files just days before the GOP took back the majority in 2023. The nerve!
This committee, which has been defying congressional proceedings since day one, refused to allow House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to appoint representatives. Talk about playing dirty! And let’s not forget about their starring role in the Biden Administration’s fictitious narrative about an “insurrection” surrounding the Capitol protests. These theatrics were edited by Hollywood producers – you know, the same people who can make anything look dramatic.

To make matters worse, the committee cherry-picked tiny segments from the vast 40,000 hours of security camera footage. It’s as if they were trying to hide something. Luckily, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has stepped up to the plate and released the unedited tapes. Finally, some transparency!
Senator Lee, never one to shy away from the truth, has now doubled down on his calls for a formal investigation into this outrageously biased committee. He raised some important questions in his November post, wondering why Liz Cheney and Adam Kizinger conveniently ignored these tapes. Maybe they were too busy leaking text messages of Republicans they wanted to defeat. Typical!
But it doesn’t stop there. U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) has exposed the committee’s despicable actions of deleting deposition tapes from witnesses. One of the most outrageous depositions came from former Trump aide Cassidy Hutchinson, who spun a ridiculous tale about Trump trying to “grab the steering wheel” during the protests. Seriously, who would believe that? Thankfully, Secret Service agents have already come forward to refute this nonsense.
Loudermilk has stood firm in his claims, confirming that the videotapes of all the depositions have mysteriously vanished. This information came to light early in the investigation when someone was desperately searching for evidence on one of the tapes. Poof! None to be found.
Now, Hutchinson is facing some serious heat, as she has been ordered to turn over any communications or documents related to her questionable testimony. It’s about time she faced the consequences of her lies. The truth always finds its way out, even when politicians try to bury it.
It’s clear that this Pelosi-led committee has been playing fast and loose with the facts. Their biased actions and deliberate deletions should not go unnoticed. Senator Lee is right to demand a formal inquiry into this mess. Let’s uncover the truth and hold those responsible accountable. That’s what real justice looks like!
