The spectacle in Nashua, NH, of ICE agents apprehending a Venezuelan illegal alien at a courthouse is a stunning example of the real justice being served under Trump’s renewed leadership. When the liberal court system appears too ready to coddle lawbreakers, ICE took the necessary action to ensure our laws mean something. Isn’t it a sad state of affairs when law enforcement is forced to bypass the very judges who are supposed to uphold justice in order to protect the public?
Arnuel Marquez Colmenarez faced serious charges, indicative of the dangers that illegal migrants pose to public safety. When you have a history of drunken driving and other reckless behaviors, it’s a clear indication that you’re not here to contribute to the American dream. Yet, without decisive action by ICE, the court would likely give him a slap on the wrist, as we’ve come to expect from liberal judges more focused on virtue signaling than upholding the law.
Liberals will wring their hands over the way ICE apprehended Colmenarez, but for conservatives, this is what justice looks like—swift and unyielding. When agents see an illegal immigrant with a rap sheet standing in front of them, they need to act decisively. The political left cries about “sensitive” locations, but isn’t it more important to focus on the sensitivity toward law-abiding citizens who suffer due to illegal activities?
The unfortunate fall of an elderly bystander during the arrest is regrettable, and deserves genuine consideration. But let’s not lose sight of the man who, by being in our country illegally and living in defiance of our laws, catalyzed the chaotic scene. The new aggressive stance by ICE, which has seen tens of thousands of removals, is a necessary step towards reclaiming our streets and reasserting the rule of law.
In a world where left-wing policies would have us all believe that borders are meaningless, moments like these remind us why we fight. Wasn’t it Trump who always said he’d take a hard line on illegal immigration? One can only hope ICE continues their crusade to protect America and remind us all: laws matter, and justice shouldn’t be sidelined by judicial leniency.
