The Biden administration cannot seem to catch a break, as it is investigating whether Iran was behind a drone attack that killed a US contractor in Syria. Iran, the world’s top state sponsor of terrorism, has been responsible for countless American deaths since the Iraq War in 2003. It’s not surprising that they would once again aim to kill Americans, this time with a suicide drone.

Five US servicemen and another contractor were also injured in the attack. Thankfully, the U.S. responded with air strikes on Iranian-linked targets in the area. While this is a step in the right direction, there may be other retaliatory operations that we’re not privy to for obvious reasons.

This attack highlights the Biden administration’s weakest spot: foreign policy. Joe Biden has been wrong on every major American initiative abroad for the past four decades. He’s weak, aloof, and not exactly fearsome. The world knows it, which is why attacks like this occur. It doesn’t help that the staff handling these matters is serially incompetent either.
This attack is just one more thing for the Biden administration to deal with amidst its focus on funding the Ukraine war. With all this attention on Ukraine, attacks like this one in the Middle East could fall by the wayside. The fact that Tehran is building a nuclear weapon in the background only adds to the danger.
Thankfully, the U.S. responded with air strikes, but it’s clear that Biden is not a president who occupies the office well. He lacks the confidence and leadership skills necessary to protect American interests abroad. It’s a worrying time for America, as Iran continues to sponsor terrorism and undermine our nation’s security.
