On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced the departure of two valued members of her team, press assistant Megha Bhattacharya and her assistant and Chief of Staff Robbie Dornbush. Jean-Pierre gave a heartfelt farewell to the two staffers, praising Bhattacharya for her enthusiasm and grace and Dornbush for his dedication to keeping the press office running smoothly.

The press office has seen a series of departures in recent months, beginning in early June when three of the press office’s top staffers left the White House in a single week. Vedant Patel, Mike Gwin and Amanda Finney all left to take on new roles in other departments, with Patel serving as the deputy spokesperson for the State Department, Gwin joining the Treasury Department to serve as the deputy assistant secretary of public affairs, and Finney becoming a senior communications director at the Energy Department. White House press assistant Michael Kikukawa also left the press office to join the Treasury Department as a spokesperson.
