The political circus surrounding the midterm elections has reached a fever pitch, and it seems even the devil herself, Kamala Harris, couldn’t charm her way into Georgia. As the Vice President meandered down south looking for a political steal, she ended up with nothing but a fat chance and a handful of excuses. It’s enough to make one break out in laughter and ask, “Wouldn’t you go dark?” The left seems to be more interested in assigning blame than celebrating victories, a trend that’s become as cliché as a bad country song.
Trump supporters have been quite the spectacle, throwing impromptu parties reminiscent of 2016, celebrating the clear victory in Georgia and preparing for what seems like an impending, and much-needed, jubilation across the nation. After all, unlike the Dems who throw temper tantrums at the slightest bump in the road, winners recognize their triumphs without whining. A tip of the party hat goes to those who know how to celebrate real wins instead of wallowing in self-pity.
A certain unease hung in the air as the polls rolled in, revealing once again that pollsters couldn’t quite grasp the overwhelming enthusiasm for Trump. It appears they’re as good at counting votes as they are at predicting the weather. With backlash from multiple misguided predictions, it seems they’re in desperate need of some fresh glasses to see the sky-high support Trump garners, especially among Latinos in battleground states like Michigan. It’s almost as if the method to their madness has gone out the window, yet the media insists on only reporting the gloomy forecasts.

The evening became a stage for comedy as the pundits poked fun at the predictions mingled with downright absurdities of the election landscape. There’s even a theory floating around as to who the left will blame for Kamala’s possible defeat: white supremacy, Russia, the Bidens, or maybe, just maybe, “the Kamala sucks” factor. Ah, what a delightful array of scapegoats for the disheartened Democrats! While rational minds are left shaking their heads, the left remains engaged in a blame game straight out of a poorly written sitcom.
As the dust settled, and despite lingering questions from the left about a potential “steal,” it was clear: Georgia certainly isn’t the Democratic stronghold they envisioned. Instead, it’s turning out to be one of the shining stars in Trump’s ever-expanding constellation of support. So while those on the other side may need to get their act together, the winning side is ready for a refreshing drink of bourbon on the rocks to celebrate a night to remember. Between this victory and the simmering absurdities of the left’s reactions, one can only sit back and chuckle at the ongoing melodrama that is American politics.
