The latest campaign antics from Vice President Kamala Harris could have anyone scratching their heads or rolling their eyes. Out in Nevada, at a rally that could only be described as the latest episode of “How to Rally Your Base,” Ms. Harris took center stage to champion the cause of unrestricted abortion access across all 50 states. With the election approaching, she’s slipping further into the grasp of the radical left agenda that claims unfettered access to abortion is some sort of constitutional right.
Harris took the time to implore Nevada voters to endorse a proposed amendment that would enshrine a so-called right to abortion until fetal viability. Presumably, she believes that every woman should have the unfettered ability to make healthcare decisions, completely devoid of any input from the state or local authorities. One couldn’t help but wonder if she also feels this should include decisions about healthcare for potential new lives or even the rights of the unborn—which, for some reason, seems to be off the table in these conversations.
Harris is running a highly targeted ground game focused on picking off Republican women who can’t stomach Trump & the few undecideds who are somehow still on the fence. (and Abortion is NOW on the ballot, unlike 2016)https://t.co/Ee8hcJZ2eq. @MollyJongFast breaks it down for us.

When making her pitch, she stressed the need for voters to check “yes” on Question Six. Somehow, the idea is that this amendment is the linchpin for preserving women’s rights—not to mention an attempt at mobilizing the Democratic base ahead of what’s shaping up to be a tight presidential election cycle. With a history of playing fast and loose with facts, it’s little surprise that Ms. Harris also brought up the specter of former President Trump and claimed he seeks to impose a national abortion ban. This seems to ring especially hollow considering that Trump’s own stance has consistently been misreported; claiming he supports a ban is just another tactic in the Democrats’ playbook to scare voters.
In a dramatic sweep across Nevada, Harris has been making the rounds to appeal to voters, even targeting Arizona with similar rhetoric that might have made some locals raise an eyebrow. Cue the spinning of the narrative: according to her, should Congress draft and pass a law restoring what she calls reproductive freedom, she’d sign it without a second thought. The notion of “freedom” has never been so convoluted, especially as it ignores the fundamental rights of the unborn.
As for the electoral stakes, Nevada holds considerable weight with its population and Electoral College votes. Current polling suggests a neck-and-neck contest between Biden-Harris and Trump. A reminder of how narrow the margins are: Biden won Nevada by a slim 33,000 votes in 2020, and Democrats are bending over backwards to ensure they maintain control. With potential tax eliminations for service workers on the table, both sides are making desperate attempts to capture the votes of those who serve, which reflects a rather extreme pivot.
So while the Vice President touts the need for unrestricted abortion access, it begs the question: at what point do the rights of the unborn get addressed? As Democrats cling to their radical narratives and attack the character of those they oppose, it becomes evident that this is less about health care and more about driving a wedge between voters. Nevada, as a key battleground, stands to see a clash of values than just policies, and the scales seem to be ever tipping towards the side of unrestrained radicalism.
