The liberal media, ever the alarmists, has taken quite the obsession with what they are dubbing “Project 2025,” which they mistakenly believe is a playbook for Donald Trump’s triumphant return to the White House. And so it goes—after Trump’s impressive election sweep, where he not only seized 312 electoral votes but also claimed the popular vote, the left appears desperate for something—anything—to vent their frustrations on. Enter Axios, an outlet that seemingly operates exclusively in a fact-free zone, attempting to connect a bunch of dots that lead nowhere.
Right out of the gate, Trump’s MAGA team wasn’t hesitant to pop the champagne corks, cheering that the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 would set the tone for the upcoming administration. The left, however, keen to offer a dose of dread-filled melodrama, eagerly pointed to the Heritage Foundation’s expansive 900-page wishlist as the harbinger of “doom and gloom” for American democracy. Clearly, they’re not going to win any awards for subtlety here.

Throughout the campaign, Trump had been adamant in his attempts to distance himself from Project 2025, even claiming to be oblivious to its existence. This, of course, raises a few eyebrows, given that the project was penned by many of his trusted associates. But, for the left, the story becomes more tantalizing when they can paint it as a nefarious plot to instigate chaos during a second Trump presidency.
As if they weren’t grasping at straws hard enough, democrats took it upon themselves to announce that, post-election, Trump’s allies and commentators were gloating about the radical agenda laid out in Project 2025. In a moment of wicked sarcasm, the right-wing podcaster Matt Walsh noted how the election had settled the debate on Project 2025 as the definitive agenda. The left, having clearly missed the joke, took the comments seriously, showcasing just how out of touch they are with the average American’s sense of humor.
Let’s be real: it’s almost too easy to rile up the left these days. Their brains seem to short-circuit at the slightest hint of a tongue-in-cheek remark. In their manic obsession with finding an enemy behind every policy proposal, they overlook the fundamental truth—MAGA folks are not losing sleep over Project 2025 because they see it for what it is: a plan that aims to improve America, not dismantle it. And until the left regains its sense of humor, they’ll continue getting played for laughs, much to the delight of Trump supporters.
