Ten years ago, the wife of the former President, Michelle Obama, shared a picture online showing support for the missing Nigerian girls. She wrote that it was time to bring them back home. Some people thought this was a way for her to appear caring, while not really doing much about the situation. Even though she tried to bring attention to the issue, her husband, former President Barack Obama, did not mention it in his State of the Union address.
In today’s world, many people use social media to show fake compassion, which can be very annoying. They might pretend to care about causes like human rights or the climate crisis, all while not really taking meaningful actions to address the problems. While it’s important to raise awareness, it’s even more crucial to follow up with real solutions and efforts.

By voting for officials who work towards real change and improvement, rather than just talking about it, society can move towards a better future. It’s crucial for individuals to be informed about their representatives and hold them accountable for their actions.
