Former First Lady Michelle Obama has once again attacked the 2nd Amendment rights of American citizens, claiming that having “unfettered access to firearms” is not a good thing. During a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, Host Gayle King asked Obama if the country would ever figure out a way to reconcile gun violence. Obama responded with a vague hope that “at some point enough becomes enough.”

This is yet another example of the Obama’s long-standing disdain for the 2nd Amendment and the right to bear arms. In the past, Barack Obama has made false claims that “guns are the number one killer of children” and the media has regurgitated his lies many times over. However, a closer look at the CDC figures reveals that this is not true. In fact, individuals are 27 times more likely to die in an accidental car death instead of an accidental gun death.
It is clear that the Obama’s are trying to push their anti-gun agenda on the American people, but it is simply not true that having “unfettered access to firearms” is a bad thing. The 2nd Amendment was put in place to protect citizens from tyranny and to ensure that they can defend themselves and their families. It is a fundamental right that should not be taken away by those who do not understand or respect it.
The left-wing agenda of taking away the 2nd Amendment rights of Americans is dangerous and misguided. It is clear that the Obama’s have no respect for the Constitution or the rights of American citizens, as evidenced by their continued attacks on the 2nd Amendment. The American people must stand up and defend their right to bear arms and protect themselves and their families.
