NARA Floods GOP with 5K Pages, Still Hides Biden’s Ukraine Speech

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has ended its game of hide-and-seek with the House Oversight Committee by providing nearly 5,000 pages of documents this week. This latest release, the fourth in the series, includes a plethora of emails and attachments to fulfill the committee's request for presidential records from the Obama administration.

What were those pesky Republicans searching for, you ask? Well, they were on the hunt for communications containing code names for President Joe Biden, his son Hunter, and a few of their associates. They also sought drafts of Biden's 2015 speech delivered to the Ukrainian Rada, which has been subject to scrutiny regarding allegations of pressuring Ukraine to dismiss a prosecutor investigating a company linked to Hunter. Talk about digging up old controversies!

So far, the National Archives has dished out over 20,000 pages of emails related to Hunter Biden and another 71,000 pages of records. That's quite a bit of snooping, even for this humble conservative news writer!

But here's the catch: the White House has thrown a wrench into the mix by denying the request to view drafts of Biden's Ukrainian speech, citing "confidentiality concerns." Who knew the White House could be such a buzzkill? Transparency, it seems, has its limits.

House Republicans are not pleased with the sluggish pace of document releases and the White House's reluctance to cooperate. They're crying foul over "obstruction" and accusing the NARA of cherry-picking documents to paint the President in a favorable light. But let's face it, who wouldn't want to be seen as a superhero?

Meanwhile, Democrats are scrambling to save face, claiming that the NARA had to triple its staff just to keep up with the demand for document releases. That's a whole lot of manpower for a bunch of papers, wouldn't you say?

And so, the drama rages on, leaving the public eagerly awaiting the release of these tantalizing documents. It's like waiting for the next season of your favorite show – the suspense is killing us all!
