In a surprising turn of events, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has backtracked on her 30-day gun ban in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County after facing a string of court losses. Despite her initial fit of rage over the court’s decision, the governor now claims to “respect” the judge’s ruling. However, her social media posts still convey a defiant attitude, as she vows to continue fighting for her misguided agenda. It’s clear that Grisham is out of touch with the American people and is willing to disregard their constitutional rights in the pursuit of her own political agenda.
Not only has Grisham faced opposition from the courts, but she is also facing potential impeachment and a lack of support from fellow Democrats. Even members of her own party, including the mayor, sheriff, and state attorney general, are turning their backs on her unconstitutional actions. It’s no wonder that her recent posts on social media have been met with backlash and criticism.
One of the groups challenging Grisham’s gun ban is the National Rifle Association (NRA), which has filed a lawsuit against her in the New Mexico Supreme Court. The NRA, along with other gun rights groups, is united in their opposition to this unconstitutional order. It’s puzzling that Grisham continues to taunt these groups instead of listening to their concerns and addressing the violations of constitutional rights that her ban entails.
Not only is Grisham trampling on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens, but she is also protecting scandal-ridden Planned Parenthood. This organization, which performs more abortions than any other entity in the country, has become a priority for the governor. It seems that protecting the lives of the unborn is not a concern for Grisham, as she allows for late-term abortions and turns a blind eye to the atrocities committed by abortion providers in her state.
It’s clear that Grisham’s actions and priorities are misguided and out of touch. While she may claim to be fighting for the safety of New Mexicans, her unconstitutional actions and support for abortion providers paint a different picture. It’s time for the people of New Mexico to stand up against Grisham’s overreach of power and protect their constitutional rights.
