White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre found herself in the hot seat when asked about concerns among Democrats that President Joe Biden is unfit to serve a second term due to his age. But fear not, Jean Pierre was quick to defend Biden’s capabilities, assuring reporters that he “has wisdom.” Well, that’s certainly one way to put it!

It seems that a vast majority of Democrats are questioning Biden’s ability to lead, with a new poll from the Wall Street Journal revealing that voters overwhelmingly think he is too old to run for re-election. As if that wasn’t damning enough, the poll also shows that Biden is receiving low marks for his handling of the economy and other important issues. Ouch.
PETER DOOCY: "Why do you think it is…that 2/3rds of Democrats think President Biden is too old to run again?"
JEAN-PIERRE: "I can speak to a president who has wisdom. I can speak to a president who has experience. I can speak to a president who has taken historic action…!" pic.twitter.com/tQocf4Dqyf

The fact that only 39% of voters hold a favorable view of the president speaks volumes about the lack of confidence they have in his abilities. And if that wasn’t enough, a mere 42% approve of how he is handling his job, while a whopping 57% disapprove. Yikes, those numbers aren’t looking great, Mr. President.
But perhaps the most intriguing part of this poll is the fact that Biden is currently tied with former President Donald Trump in a potential rematch of the 2020 election. Both candidates have 46% support in a head-to-head test. So much for the “blue wave” sweeping the nation!
It’s clear that Biden’s age and performance are major concerns for voters, and it’s no wonder why. With his lackluster approval ratings and a potential rematch with Trump on the horizon, Biden’s hopes for a second term are looking bleak. Maybe it’s time for the Democrats to start exploring some younger, more competent candidates. Just a thought.
