Eric Swalwell (D-CA) is desperately attempting to defend President Joe Biden amidst mounting evidence of his involvement in his son Hunter’s shady foreign business deals. Swalwell, a staunch supporter of the Biden administration, recently argued on MSNBC that Republicans can’t seem to decide whether Biden is senile or corrupt.

But instead of addressing these legitimate concerns, Swalwell resorts to deflecting and smearing Republicans.
Host Ayman Mohyeldin asked Swalwell how an impeachment inquiry against Biden would play out in the chamber. And folks, Swalwell’s response was just plain nonsensical. He claimed that Republicans don’t even know who they want to impeach, listing a string of potential targets like Secretary Mayorkas, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and Merrick Garland. This is a classic case of gaslighting, where Swalwell tries to shift the focus away from the real issue at hand – Biden’s involvement in questionable dealings.

And finally, Swalwell tries to downplay the seriousness of the allegations against Biden by claiming that most of the investigations center around events that took place in the 2010s. Well, Swalwell, let me remind you that the actions of a public official, whether they occurred yesterday or a decade ago, are still relevant. We should always demand honesty and integrity from our leaders, no matter how much time has passed.
