Former President Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee have once again shown their fundraising prowess, raking in an impressive $65.6 million despite naysayers’ concerns about lackluster performance. This incredible feat puts to shame the pathetic attempts of the oh-so-glorified Democrats, proving yet again that Trump’s popularity knows no bounds.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane to Trump’s previous campaign for a little comparison. Four years ago, in March 2020, Trump managed to pull in a measly $62 million. Fast forward to now, and the man has outdone himself, surpassing his own record. Susie Wiles, a co-manager of Trump’s campaign, pointed out that this overwhelming support from voters of all stripes is a testament to Trump’s unwavering appeal.
And in a shocking turn of events, the Trump campaign swooped in and took over the RNC last month, with Michael Whatley and Lara Trump assuming the roles of co-chairs. This bold move has solidified Trump’s influence within the RNC, with his campaign manager, Chris LaCivita, also holding a prominent position as the RNC’s chief of staff. It’s clear that Trump’s leadership is still very much alive and kicking within the Republican Party.
Now, this eye-popping fundraising figure has effectively put an end to any doubts about Trump’s financial prowess. Those naysayers must be feeling pretty foolish now, considering that President Joe Biden’s recent fundraising efforts paled in comparison. Biden may have raised $25 million in a single night, but that still can’t hold a candle to Trump’s impressive haul. Even in February, when Biden and the Democratic National Committee managed to scrape together $53 million, Trump and the RNC pulled in a cool $15.9 million.
But, of course, it wouldn’t be a Trump-related story if we didn’t talk about the legal battles. Trump has had to dip into his coffers to fight off those pesky legal challenges, which has undoubtedly put a strain on the RNC’s finances. The Save America PAC, which covers his legal fees, siphoned off a whopping $5.6 million in February. Despite the financial strain, Trump remains undeterred, with a massive fundraising event planned at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. With a minimum ask of $814,600 per guest, this event is sure to send shockwaves through the fundraising world.
Trump has once again proven his dominance in both fundraising and party leadership, leaving the Democrats in his dust. If this isn’t a clear sign of Trump’s continued influence and popularity, then what is?
