In a recent twist in the wacky world of politics, Donald Trump Jr. has made it crystal clear: Nikki Haley is a big, fat NO for his father’s potential running mate in the next election. According to the former president’s son, he will move mountains to ensure that Haley doesn’t snag the coveted spot.

During a chat with Newsmax’s Eric Bolling, Don Jr. slammed Haley, calling her a puppet of the D.C. establishment and accusing her of being a warmonger. He even suggested that the billionaire class is gaga over her because they want to hold the reins and manipulate everything from behind the scenes.
But it seems the idea of Haley as Trump’s wingman—or in this case, wingwoman—has been gaining some steam lately. She’s been inching awfully close to Trump in the GOP primary polls and even got a shoutout from former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Plus, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s team took a sly dig at her with the launch of a cheeky website for “Trump-Nikki 2024.”
And while Trump Sr. has been picking the brains of his inner circle about the Haley situation, she’s been downplaying any veep aspirations and throwing some shade of her own at the former president, claiming that “chaos and drama” follow his every move.
Adding some extra spice to this political potluck, Lara Trump, the wife of Eric Trump, hinted that a Trump-Haley ticket might not be as far-fetched as it sounds. She even said, “I would never say never with Donald J. Trump.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has boldly predicted that the MAGA crowd would go bonkers if Haley even scored a lowly internship in Trump’s potential administration. And let’s not forget the upcoming showdown between Haley and DeSantis in a CNN debate.
It seems like the Trump family has their fingers in every political pie, and their impact is nothing to sneeze at. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie even griped that Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, pulled the rug out from under his chances to snag a sweet gig in the Trump administration.
