Trump Slams Biden Over Donations Linked to Anti-Israel Protests, Vows Tougher Stance

Former President Donald Trump spoke to a large crowd in Wildwood, New Jersey, and criticized President Joe Biden for allegedly receiving donations from those who support anti-Israel protests on college campuses. He called on Biden and the Democratic National Committee to return the donations from what he described as “antisemites” and “American haters.” Trump also promised a stronger approach toward the protests, declaring that as president, he would not allow campuses to be taken over by what he called “violent radicals.”

In his speech, Trump accused the same people financing the anti-Israel protests of also funding Biden’s campaign. He asserted that protesters promoting “jihadism or anti-Americanism or antisemitism” on campuses would be deported under his presidency. Additionally, Trump criticized Biden’s announcement to withhold weapons from Israel during its conflict with Hamas, calling it a betrayal of an American ally.

The former president highlighted his support for Israel and condemned the attacks carried out by Hamas, emphasizing that such violence would not have occurred under his leadership. Furthermore, he underscored the importance of standing with Israel in its fight against terrorism.

Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. expressed concern for the Jewish community at Rutgers University, criticizing the schools for allowing protests that he said have created an adverse environment for Jewish students. He pointed out the significant Jewish population in New Jersey and denounced the ill will fostered by the protests on campuses.

Following Columbia President Minouche Shafik’s House testimony and the October 7, 2023, attack, there has been an increase in antisemitic conduct on college campuses, leading to Jewish students feeling unsafe. The protests have resulted in physical assaults and verbal harassment against Jewish students, prompting Jewish and Israeli organizations to file civil rights complaints against the schools for allegedly creating a hostile environment.
