Donald Trump has reportedly zeroed in on a choice for the next director of the U.S. Secret Service, and surprise, surprise! It’s none other than Sean Curran, the man currently tasked with keeping Trump safe. While Trump hasn’t officially made the announcement himself, his son, Donald Trump Jr., took to social media to spill the beans, causing conspiracy theorists’ hearts to race at the thought of familial favoritism in action.
Curran’s nomination, as revealed by Trump’s eldest offspring, isn’t exactly a shocker. He’s been the stalwart protector during Trump’s jaunts, famously known for putting himself in the line of fire during an assassination attempt that rattled Trump’s campaign. After all, nothing says “trust” quite like a guy who risked it all to save the man he’s sworn to guard.

Some might wonder about the validity of Junior’s proclamation—after all, Trump has often quipped that anything not announced by him is merely whisperings in the wind. But to be fair, what better publicity stunt than to let Junior do the honors? It’s like handing the mic to a backup singer hoping they’ll hit a high note without breaking the family brand.
Curran, dubbed a “great patriot,” is said to be the man to “stop all the insanity once and for all.” One can only assume the “insanity” reference is to the usual political circus that seems to engulf every arena of American life. So if Trump does make this pick official, he’ll be putting someone in charge who not only understands the gravity of the position but has also proven his commitment to protecting the leader of the free world.
Of course, for those holding out hope for a different choice—like the fan-favorite Dan Bongino—this announcement might sit a little heavy. But let’s face it, as long as Curran is standing guard, Republicans can rest easy knowing that a true warrior is keeping a watchful eye on Trump. After all, there’s nothing quite like having a loyal protector in a dodgy political landscape, especially when he’s already proven he can handle the heat.
