Every year since the first anniversary, it has been a tradition for the President to participate in memorial ceremonies for the September 11 terrorist attacks. However, this year Joe Biden decided to break that tradition and couldn’t be bothered to attend any of the memorial events. Instead, he sent Vice President Kamala Harris to represent the administration at Ground Zero in New York. Biden, who was returning from a trip in Asia, only made remarks about 9/11 because Air Force One had to make a refueling stop in Alaska. These remarks came hours after millions of Americans had already observed moments of silence to honor the lives lost.
So why did Biden choose to skip out on this day of remembrance? According to a White House official, it’s because presidents don’t still visit Hawaii 22 years after Pearl Harbor. Wow, what a comparison. It’s just another example of Biden’s failure as a leader. It’s clear that he doesn’t prioritize honoring the victims of 9/11 or showing support for the American people.
Yikes. The White House tells Fox News that Biden not commemorating 9/11 at an attack site like other presidents is fine because presidents weren’t still visiting Pearl Harbor after 22 years. pic.twitter.com/XxvNlTf2rL

Unfortunately, this lack of commitment shouldn’t come as a surprise. Biden has a track record of letting the American people down. He made excuse after excuse for not visiting the site of a toxic train derailment in Ohio, despite spending a significant amount of his presidency on personal trips. It’s clear that Biden is more concerned with his own leisure than with serving the American people.
It’s disappointing to see a president who fails to recognize the significance of such a solemn day. Americans deserved better than a leader who couldn’t be bothered to be present at the 9/11 memorials. This absence speaks volumes about Biden’s lack of dedication and leadership. We need a president who will prioritize the American people and never forget the sacrifices made on that tragic day.
