The 2024 election is already stirring up some excitement, and it’s not looking good for the Democrats, according to a new poll from the oh-so-trustworthy CNN. The poll showed that Republicans have a whopping “enthusiasm advantage” over their counterparts on the left. Yes, you heard that right, folks. The GOP is bringing the energy!
The survey revealed that a whopping 71 percent of likely Republican voters are “extremely motivated” to cast their vote in 2024. Meanwhile, only 61 percent of likely Democrat voters said the same, leaving the blue team trailing behind. This is what we call a game-changer, folks. But wait, it gets worse for President Biden. Even CNN had to admit that voters have “clearly soured” on good ol’ Joe. The poll showed that only 39 percent of respondents approve of his job performance, while a whopping 61 percent expressed their disapproval. Ouch! That’s gotta sting, Mr. President.
And it’s not just Republicans who are turning their backs on Biden. Even among his fellow Democrats, the support is starting to waver. A measly 73 percent of respondents from his own party expressed approval. That’s not exactly what you would call a ringing endorsement, now is it? It seems like the honeymoon period for President Biden is long gone, and the cracks are starting to show.
But let’s not forget about the independents, the swing voters who often hold the key to victory. Well, it turns out they’re not too thrilled with Biden either. A mere 34 percent of independents approve of the job he’s doing. Ouch! That’s gotta be a wake-up call for the President. It’s clear that he’s losing ground among the crucial independent voting bloc.
And if Biden thought things couldn’t get any worse, he was dead wrong. The poll also asked respondents about the overall wellbeing and direction of the country. Brace yourself, folks, because only 28 percent said things were going “well”, while a whopping 72 percent said things were going poorly. That’s a pretty damning verdict on Biden’s leadership, if you ask me.
To add insult to injury, this devastating poll for Biden comes hot on the heels of another one released by the New York Times. According to that survey, Biden trails former President Donald Trump in five out of six swing states. Are we surprised? Not at all. It’s clear that the American people are starting to long for the days of strong leadership and “America First” policies.
