Rep. James Comer, the committee’s chairman, believes that this proves President Biden is either compromised or corrupt and poses a threat to national security. Comer highlights the meetings at Café Milano between Joe Biden and oligarchs who had sent money to his son, suggesting that these meetings provided access to the Biden network.

The committee also discovered over $20 million in payments to the Biden family from foreign sources. The records also reveal the financial transactions involving Hunter Biden and his partner Devon Archer, including payments from Yelena Baturina, a wealthy Russian widow, to their shell company Rosemont Seneca Thornton. They further detail Hunter Biden’s involvement with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma and his connections with Kazakhstani oligarch Kenes Rakishev.
Overall, the committee believes that Joe Biden was aware of his son’s business dealings and benefited from them while he was Vice President. This paints a picture of a corrupt enterprise within the Biden family, according to Comer.
